CASTOways has a circulation of over 2,000, reaching transportation personnel and decision-makers, both inside and outside of California on a monthly basis. The Newsletter is published ten times per year, September through June. The publication is printed on 11.5X17 newsprint. CASTOways is sent to State Director of Pupil Transportation of each state, and to each state's school transportation safety association. CASTOways is periodically sent to California Legislators and is distributed at various safety and national conferences by CASTO representatives.
