The California Association of School Transportation Officials (CASTO) actively advocates and monitors legislative and policy issues important to California school districts and county offices of education, particularly within the area of school transportation.
CASTO monitors and tracks legislative proceedings, providing summary and position recommendations.
CASTO strives to keep its members up-to-date on all proposed legislative matters.
CASTO retains lobbyist Bill Dohring to actively advocate the positions and views of CASTO.
CASTO Legislative Chairperson Michael Rea, of the West County Transportation Agency, provides direction and maintains communication with CASTO's lobbyist, and prepares legislative reports for CASTO.
