CASTO has developed three committees to come up with a strategic plan to implement the following ideals.

MEMBERSHIP

Committee Chairperson:  Susan Moorehead

The MEMBERSHIP committee is dedicated to developing a strategy to increase CASTO membership and to develope a plan to provide current members with better service.

COMMUNICATION

Committee Chairperson:  Christopher Bates

The COMMUNICATION committee is dedicated to developing a strategy to inform CASTO members of ongoing CASTO events and activities.  This committee is also working to develop a plan to inform the public of student transportation issues and to answer the questio: "Who is CASTO?".

FULL FUNDING

Committee Chairperson:  Mike Rea

The FULL FUNDING committee is dedicated to developing a plan to obtain full funding for student transportation.  Although a daunting task this committee is up to the challenge.    The CASTO Full Funding committee has recently developed a one page statement of intent arguing for full funding for school transportation designed to assist you when you meet with legislators, union officials, PTA officials and school association officials.  You are encouraged to meet with these groups to get the word out to your local and statewide representatives.  You may print out the statement and distribute it to everyone that may benefit from its message.
